We even have collections of art stuff from artists Helen Lyndon, Felix Gonzalez-Torres and Karema Munsaar, that will be on display in our museum until the 12th July 2023.

You can view what collections we have on offer at the museum of stuff below.

Charity shop stuff collection

As found on the facebook group "charity shop shit." on the internet. You can join the group also with the link at the bottom of the page. We at the museum of stuff have considered how the stuff in this collection seems so odd to us,but could have once perhaps held a lot of meaning to someone: a childhood toy, a present from a loved on ; there is no way of knowing were these objects came from.

Karema Munassar

The museum of stuff has had the pleasure of sharing work with artist Karema Munsssar, the following images are from her project "mop and broom wedding day". The images show "Mr broom and mrs mop." on their beautiful wedding day.

Found and ready made stuff

A mixture of found and ready made pieces taken from the internet, from other artists and from our own curator.  The artists involved include; Helen Lyndon, Felix Gonzalez-Torres and Marcel Duchamp.

The term "ready mades." was first coined by Marcel Duchamp to describe his own work at the time, the term has since been applied to other, more elaborate works still involving a ready made element. we are lucky enough to have some of Marcel Duchamps original ready made's in our collection for you to view. Artists often keep found objects as they normally hold an artistic interest or inspires them, the objects could be treated as a work of art themselves, or as a material in another piece. Picasso was an originator of using found objects, starting ff by using newspapers and matchboxes in 1912.
